Lousco Labradors was established in 2001. We are a small hobby kennel located about 25 miles east of Cincinnati. Our kennel name is comprised of our middle names, Scott and Louise.
Ashley, Audrey and Bryan with their ponies Scott is pastor of a church in the Blue Ash / Kenwood area of Cincinnati, and Annette enjoys being a mom, and teaching our three wonderful children at home. Audrey, Ashley and Bryan enjoy helping with the dogs, riding their Welsh ponies, sports, and spending time with their friends. We enjoy doing things together such as hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Our number one priority is our family.
We had owned English Pointers and “field bred” Labs for several years when Bryan & Sophieon a number of occasions, at hunt test or in the field, we noticed that the “English” type of lab always caught our eye. We also saw that these Labs were much more laid back in comparison to our “field” dogs.
With these things in mind, and due to the fact that there are not many wild upland game birds left in our area, we began to study pedigrees, attend specialties, talk with breeders, and visit practically every lab web site on the internet in order to determine the type of Lab we really wanted.
One of the lines that stood out to us was Jack and Dorothy Galvin’s Hennings Mill. We studied their lines closely and decided to contact them. An added blessing was that they only live 10 minutes away.
It was worth waiting several months for the right puppy to come along, and we feel that we are off to a good start.
We are so grateful for the mentorship, guidance and friendship Jack and Dot have given us. We love to learn of their stories of days gone by and all of their ideas for the future.
We are also grateful to all the breeders who have invested so much into this wonderful breed that we all love so well. Our desire is to continue to learn, so that we too can make a worthy contribution.
